We are all capable of receiving signs from our loved ones in Spirit.  The most important thing is to be open to receiving them.  For instance, if there are butterflies following you and encircling you when you go into the backyard, you may just think it's a coincidence, because that's what butterflies do.  I think differently.  Butterflies are around, but they don't normally encircle us or follow us.  If this happens, the first person or animal that you think about is almost always who the message is from.  Sometimes it is just a hello from heaven.  Other times it may come with a thought that pops into your head, such as, "Have a great time at the party!"  This is definitely your loved one communicating with you. 

Your loved ones want nothing more than for you to be happy and at peace.  They are absolutely at peace in heaven.  We are the ones who are suffering their loss.  If you can wrap your mind around having no worries, no physical or emotional limitations, and no baggage, that is pretty much what I hear from your loved ones who have passed.  Imagine not having to worry about bills, a job you don't enjoy, or illness befalling you.  They are beyond the problems of the physical body and now they are free 

It  is up to us to be open to the loving messages and communication that they are capable of bringing to us.  Try to keep an open mind and an open heart, and you will start to notice more signs from your loved ones in Spirit.  Other signs include birds, coins, feathers, and repeated names and numbers.  This does not mean just seeing birds, feathers or coins.  Spirit will give us signs in such a way that we will have no doubt about the message.  A bird may sit a foot in front of your face and not move.  A feather may appear on your doorstep on inside your house.  A coin may appear on your couch or on your bed.  Check the date of the coin.  This can also have meaning for you or for them.  Anytime you think of your loved ones, it is because they are there.  There are no coincidences.  Every encounter you have that makes you think of them is a message from heaven.  The main thing is to trust the messages.  The more you trust, the more you will receive.

I get asked about the difference between mediumship and intuitive/psychic readings all the time.  Here is some information to help you decide what kind of reading you really want.

In a Mediumship reading, I connect you with your loved ones in Spirit.  Even though there is usually one person that people have in mind whom they want to connect with when they schedule a reading, there are typically several people who come through in every reading.  It is usually the person with the strongest energy, meaning that they are forward, pushy, or just simply outgoing.  This would be their personality when they were in their physical body.  When I feel or hear your mom coming through loud and clear, but you really want to hear from your spouse, I will deliver a quick message from her so that I can connect with your spouse.  You will almost always hear from the person you are hoping to, but you will hear from others as well, including pets.  I also offer Pet Mediumship, where I focus on your fur babies who have passed.

In an Intuitive reading, I connect with my guides and they give me information about you and your life.  This information is usually a combination of your personal life, your career, and your soul's journey.  An intuitive reading can be deeply personal about what you have been through, what you are going through, and what lies ahead.  You are also welcome to ask specific questions during your reading.    

In a Combination reading, I open myself up to my guides and to the Spirit world, so that you get to communicate with your loved ones in Spirit and you get information about your life path as well.  Combination readings are hour-long readings, so that we have enough time to fully delve into your life and to communicate with your loved ones in Spirit. 

I do most of my readings by phone all over the country and in Canada. There is no difference in the connection.  However, if you are in the San Fernando Valley, I welcome you to come and see me in person.  It is an absolute honor to be of service to people and to work for Spirit in this way.

It is surprising to people that phone readings are just as accurate and clear as in-person readings.  In fact, sometimes phone readings are easier for me to do than in-person readings.  I think this is because when I see a client in person, I want to make sure that they are comfortable in my office and my focus is on them. At the same time, I have to focus on the Spirit world.  In some ways, in-person readings can split my attention. 

On the other hand, this doesn't pose a problem when I do readings over the phone.  When I am doing a phone reading, my focus is entirely on my connection with the Spirit world for mediumship readings, and on my guides and my client's energy for intuitive readings.  I am always happy to meet new people and to have people come to see me in person.  However, since we are all made up of energy, and energy never dies, the phone works great. 

When I was working with my mentor and she told me I could do phone readings, I was incredulous.  I didn't think I could do it.  At her direction, I tried it, and it worked so well that I have been doing it ever since. In fact, I do about 90% of my readings by phone all over the country.

Pets have been coming through in readings with loved ones in Spirit for many years. Since people have been asking if I can connect with their pets who have passed, I have decided to offer Pet Mediumship readings. Animals have souls, just like we do. When they cross the rainbow bridge to the other side, they still exist, just without their physical bodies. They come through in readings with their names, personalities, memories, and details about their families. Sometimes they can be easier to communicate with than humans, because they are used to communicating without words! All types of animal can come through during a reading, whether furry, feathered or otherwise. Our connection with them never ends.

I had a dog for 16 years who passed over 20 years ago, and I still feel her around me. Sometimes I see a streak of blonde hair out of the corner of my eye, or I hear her little toenails clicking on the wood floor. Spirit communication can be subtle. You may see a bird who comes and perches very close to you and doesn't seem to be afraid. It could be a butterfly that keeps circling around you. It can be a song on the radio that makes you think of your fur baby. There is really no difference in the connection with our human family and our pets in Spirit. They are still with us, they know what's going on in our lives, and they bring through details about current events that verify this. We are human beings, not human doings.  We need to rest and recharge our physical, mental and spirital batteries.  If not, we find ourselves feeling rundown, cranky and ill at ease.  We need to learn to listen to our bodies.  When I was a teenager, I could stay up all night.  Now I find that I need a certain amount of rest and quiet time to be able to channel people's loved ones and to give of myself in a way that's productive and not detrimental to my wellbeing. I need to fill my own cup before I can give from the overflow.

In doing the work of a spiritual medium, intuitive, and mentor, I find that paying attention to my own body's messages is essential.  I can't teach what I don't practice myself.  In order to be effective and to help other people, I need to keep my physical, mental and spiritual energy balanced.  This means eating in a reasonably healthy manner, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep.  I also need down time, which includes socializing with friends as well as spending time alone. 

Life is busy for everyone.  We have to find time to take care of ourselves or we won't be able to be effective in our own lives, whether that includes having a healthy relationship, taking care of children, or being a good employee or business owner.  What it comes down to is balance.  Everyone is different.  Find out what works for you and stay consistent.  You will improve the quality of your life and maybe even influence someone else in a positive way.   

Growing up, I was afraid of change.  If someone asked me to try something new, I would automatically say no.  I didn't want to be a beginner at anything.  Through many years of life experience, I have learned that change is inevitable, so I might as well learn to embrace it.  When we say no to new experiences, our lives become smaller.  When we say yes, our lives expand.  I want my life to continue to expand and grow, so I say yes to new challenges and opportunities.  That doesn't mean that I don't have any fear.  It just means that I decide to do it anyway.  There is a great book about this by Dr. Susan Jeffers called Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.  I never know where these experiences will lead me, but I know that I will learn and grow spiritually.

What I used to fear is now exciting.  I have learned to embrace change and look at each new challenge an opportunity to learn and to grow.  After all, that's what we are here for, to learn and to grow and to help other people.  Don't fear change, embrace it!

I believe that everything is either a gift or a test. If something positive happens to us, we feel happy and grateful. If something negative happens, we tend to question why, and stress ourselves out by worrying about the outcome. Over a period of many years, I have come to completely trust that we have guides, angels and loved ones in Spirit who are watching over us,  providing us with the lessons that we need to learn in order to advance spiritually.

If something happens that we perceive as negative, we can always ook at it from a different perspective. Something may happen to us in order to give us the strength and the tools to be of service to other people.  If I am running late and there is a traffic jam, I know that I am either being spared from an unfortunate event or that I need to learn to be more patient and stay in the present moment.  There may be something I need to hear on the radio that I would have missed had I left the house on time.  

I believe that we are all here to learn and to grow spiritually. Sometimes the greatest lessons are learned by overcoming a so-called problem, getting to the other side of it, and realizing that it was for our highest good. The best learning comes from personal experience, and from personal experience comes growth and the ability to be of service to other people.
