My dad and I were very close (and still are). I couldn't have asked for a better father. He raised me and my two brothers by himself. After my mother moved away when we were kids, he moved all of us into a 2 bedroom apartment. Each of my brothers had a bedroom, I slept in the dining room, and my dad slept in the living room. Everybody loved my dad, including kids in the neighborhood. He would sit on a bench outside the Beachwood Coffee Shop and kids would sit with him and talk. A lot of them were from broken homes and he was a comforting presence in their lives.
Since my dad passed in 2006, I have had countless signs from him. I also ask him for help with my readings. There are so many examples, but there is a recent one that stands out very clearly. One day I was driving to a group reading and I got off the freeway because the traffic was heavy and I didn't want to be late. I was driving on side streets that I didn't know. I am someone who is very punctual, and I get stressed out if I think I may be late, especially if I have to get ready for a group reading. I like to take my time setting up, relaxing and meditating before a group. I asked my dad for help, and I made a turn. I gasped. Right in front of me in 6-foot high letters on the side of a house was painted HARVEY in big black letters. Harvey is my dad's name. This was definitely a sign from my dad that I was heading in the right direction, and I ended up getting to the venue with plenty of time to spare.
I'm sure that a lot of you can relate to this story and you know that your loved ones are still with you in Spirit, and always will be. If you would like to be more connected with them, ask them to come closer and to make you aware that they are with you. It could be a license plate, a song on the radio, the smell of their cologne, or a thousand other signs. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that your loved ones never die, they just leave their physical bodies. Their soul continues and they can still communicate with you. If you are missing a loved one, I wish you peace and comfort, knowing that they are still with you, just in a different way.
